Eugene Mirman Announces “An Evening of Whimsy and Mild Grievances Comedy Tour”

Eugene Mirman is heading back on tour with a new set. The comic, who is perhaps best known for his voice work as Gene Belcher on Bob’s Burgers, will kick off “An Evening of Whimsy and Mild Grievances Comedy Tour” this fall. The tour begins on September 6th at The Neptune Theatre in Seattle.

Mirman’s past work includes three specials and five comedy albums. His 2015 special, Eugene Mirman: Vegan on His Way to the Complain Store, was for Netflix. In 2012, he released his first special for Comedy Central, An Evening Of Comedy In A Fake, Underground Laboratory. Mirman’s 2008, 20-minute special Robots Are Alive is available on YouTube. He also starred in the Adult Swim classic Delocated.

The 49-year-old Mirman began his stand-up career in the alt-comedy scene of Boston. He released his first album, The Absurd Nightclub Comedy of Eugene Mirman, in 2004. His last LP, I’m Sorry (You’re Welcome)was one of our best comedy albums of 2015.

In 2019, Mirman was the subject of the documentary, It Started as a Joke. The film documents the founding and decade-long run of the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival. Mirman founded the alt-comedy festival in Brooklyn to showcase the city’s comedy scene and the circles in which he swam.

Following the launch of the tour in Seattle, Mirman will then play dates in Portland (September 7th), Madison (November 6th), Milwaukee (November 7th), and Chicago (November 8th).
